About Pilcrow

our story

Hi, I'm Tim. Three years ago I got an ADHD diagnosis; aged 50. I'd managed up to that point by building a lot of masking and coping strategies, but one thing that had always failed me was digital note-taking. Every tool I tried lasted a month or so at most. How I actually work falls outside the use-case of those apps; I always reverted to paper notebooks, piles of sticky notes, and memory.

I recently started to think about how I'd actually want one to work for me, and that's why I built Pilcrow. It doesn't enforce any structure, but it can bring structure when you need it.

Pilcrow doesn't send me reminders when tasks are due (they just get lost in the notification quagmire); it lights up notes and lists that I need to pay attention to, making them stand out visually on my screen. Notes can be grouped together into chains, and I can assign tags to connect notes laterally. I've got integration through webhooks so my notes are sent directly into Pilcrow as soon as meetings finish.

I've been building enterprise software for over 30 years, Pilcrow is built on all that experience. Your data is secure, encrypted, and you're free to extract it all at any point. Login with Google, Apple, or Microsoft.

I'm running a limited beta at present. Take a look, let me know what you think.
